Brad Piatka was born in Port Alberni in 1958. His west coast style of painting is so realistic you can almost smell the sea air. He has had over 20 gallery showings on Vancouver Island and has won countless awards for his work. Brad has also painted many murals in and around the Port Alberni area. Some of his paintings take months before they are finished. His contemporary style has been compared with the likes of Christopher Pratt and Ken Danby. He still lives on Vancouver Island where he paints everyday.
